We had blessing of having Jacob and Trevor come over to spend part of the day. They had a great time playing and running around like little wild people. It was a blast! Toward the end we brought out the alliagator tunnel and then the real fun started. The were going though it like crazy. Chasing each other and laughing and getting all wiped out.
They had a great time just hanging out with each other. The farewells were tragic, there were tears and calling of names. They sure do like spending time together. It makes me look forward to Greens Lake and a whole lot of cousin type fun and frolic!

Father's Day
For Father's Day this year I went to Color me mine and made projects for Lee and Dad. We made platters for the Dads. This one is Lee's. I should have gotten a picture of Dads when it was here. The kids made projects of their own. Emily made a cat box and she used every color we had at the table and Sammy made a Spider. They had fun and were only a little grumpy. Lauren came along and helped. I know I couldn't have done them without her help with the kids. We had a good time and I know they made two Dads very happy. Lee spent his father's day alone but I think little peace and quiet was a good gift too. We had a great time at Mom and Dad's with Monica.
Our new Family Member
Her name is Lola
She's not a kitten
But when we saw her we were smitten!
(sung to Copa Cabana by Barry Manilow)
Okay so I am a little crazy, we all new this. I loved my old cats Tigger and Shadow and I know Emily and Sammy have wanted one for a long time. So on a whim we went by the SPCA and looked at cats. We had thought to get a kitten at first but all the ones we wanted were too small to come home that day. And Emily and Sam were not coming home without a cat. So after sitting with a few cats we tried out Lola ( named for the younger silly sister in Charlie and Lola) She is a little timid cat and spends a great bit of her day in our room enjoying sitting in the window sill or lounging in her cat bed. Which makes lee happy because she is using the cat bed he bought her. Plus she is not getting cat fur everywhere. She is very vocal and talk a lot, she comes out at night and we tell the kids that she is telling them good night
and to go to bed. She is very affectionate and sweet. Last night she was fly hunting and actually caught a fly and ate it. Lee is in heaven. We are going to try and teach her to use the toilet like the rest of us so we can get rid of the litter box. She is a bright cat and has a Shrimp and Salmon Friskies treat addiction so I think she is a good candidate.
Emily is very good with her but doesn't get to spend as much time with her as she would like because Sammy is less than patient and quiet so Lola runs when she him and Emily coming. Not all the time but some. I never realised how much I missed my cats til Lola. Welcome Lola! L-O-L-A Lola la la la Lola.. (okay another dorky song reference sorry I can't help myself)

I love to SCRAPBOOK!!!!
So I blame Kiahna. I have started to do lot of scrap booking and worse yet I am spreading it to others! I have recently gotten my friends Héloise and Samantha interested in it too. Lauren has gone full bore on it. We got together at her house last night and worked late into the night. It is nice to have someone who likes the same things you do. It will be even more fun to have more people to do fun things. I meant to take pictures of us scrap booking but I was too busy scrap booking. I may never catch up to Kiahna but I am having fun at my own snails pace.

Kite Day Fun!
A Day with Kites!
Sammy must think it was his lucky day! Yesterday he got to have to have lunch with Jacob, Trevor, Kiahna, Kaye, me, Emily and Grandma Beylik. They had such a good time and they didn't want the good time to end so Kiahna took him on what was thought to be just the afternoon. Though it became a boys only slumber party. They stayed up late and got up early and had a great time. Emily and I meet them at the park and I brought some kites that needed some flying. They had such fun running around with the kites and even Trevor wanted to get in the act. He was very perturbed that there was not a kite for him too. Jacob, Emily and Sam had such fun running around playing with the kites even though there was not a whole lot of wind, but who needs wind when you have little kids to run like crazy! They ran and played and ran and played and had so much fun. Then Kerri's kids Reagan and Joe arrived and the fun got funner! We packed up the camp and had a great lunch at Burger King. Where kids played even more and ran around more. ( i don't know where they get the energy!?) It was a lovely afternoon and I am gonna miss Kiahna and her boys when they go back to Ridge Crest tomorrow.
(This post is dedicated to Kiahna for her kindly giving me her old digital camera so I post same day pictures to my blog just like all the other cool ladies! Thanks Kiahna for the camera, for my new found renewed excitement about scrap booking, for being my sister in law and most of all for being my friend.)

Memorial day FUN!
Memorial Day Fun!
We had so much fun this past weekend! We left for Grandma's house on Friday afternoon. We stopped and picked up a little lunch and because of a malfunctioning garage door we ending up have a little picnic on their front lawn til Grandma came to let us in. We had fun playing and trying out the new swimming pool. Sammy and Emily enjoyed getting to be the ones to break the new blow up pool in. I took Mom and Dad for their Trader Joe's field trip. I think it went well and I hope that they will enjoy the good and good for you grub at my favorite store.
We spent the next fews days just playing with the kids and helping support each other in our quest for a smaller waistline. GO TEAM! We made food for the big party the next day. Memorial Day we were very blessed to have Eric and Kiahna bring the boys down so the Wild Bunch was together again!
As if that was not enough fun, Nan and her friend Patrick came down and stayed the day to play and get us caught up with her life and her boys. Monica, Abrek and his mother father and two sisters came to join s as well. They brought the fixing for snow cones which were a huge hit with kids and adults! Eric being the engineering type was a genius and quickly added the playset mom and dad had to the inflatable pool and made a party sensation! The kids had a great time and seemed to play all day on it nonstop. Even little Trevor got have his fun in the pool. They couldn't slide down it enough and then there was the squirt gun wars. It was sun, fun, good food and best of all family!
( on side note Lee was home working hard to clean the garage and to get speakers installed in the living room, he missed out on all the fun to try and make the house better. What a guy!)
