Water Park FUN time!

Amy and I planned a play date to take the kids to the waterpark down the street from where we live. Sam wasn't so sure about the whole idea for most of the time we were there. He eventually got with the idea and was not wanting to leave. Emily was ready to play from the moment we got there. She, Dain and Dylon werre ready to play from the moment we got there. We had a great time watching the kids run and play. I think we will have to make some more trips there so the kids can have a good time running around and get all nice and wet. It is nice havng friend who lives across the street even if they don't get to play as often as they'd like.

The Dorsey's Visit!

July 7th was a great day! Cheryl, Mike , Anna and Matthew made a visit to our house on their way home from thier week long vacation. Lee was called into work that day so unfortunatly he missed them. It was so nice to get to see them and to be able to just hang out. Mike was there too but some how never managed to get in a picture. Anna and Emily hit it off as soon as Anna overcame her usual shyness. They held a princess tea party in the living room. (with tiara's and everthing!) Then we all went to Burger king for lunch. The kids had a great time and so did the adult. Then we brought all the kids back to the house and put them down for a much needed nap. Then the real fun began. I showed Mike and cheryl the finer points of the Wii. We bowled, golfed, tennised(?) we boxed. We made them their own Mii's so if ever the come to visit again they can plan with us and so we can play them on our Wii. It was so nice. I miss her and I know that the kids had a good time. Lee and I need to make a trip down to see them. Soon. WHen it come to to cheryl I like the old girl scouts motto. Make new friends but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold. Or in Cheryl's case diamond encrusted platinum!

Our little Firecracker!

Sam loved the idea of the sparklers! He liked the different colors and was having a good time. But being the sensitive soul he didn't like the smoke form them. He liked it when his daddy started lighting the small collection of fountains that I had gotten. He loved the sparkling the shiny lights. He was not so happy when the rest of the block started shooting off more of the louder ones. But we did have fun having a simple small fourth of July. We had friend come over earlier in the day and hang out with us and then had leftovers for dinner. It is nice that we got have a smallish little celebration. God Bless America!
