Wii love to play!

How do you entertain three active kids and waer them ot for bed? Wii! We bowled and had a great time. Jacob has a style that is very unique. It looks he like is a pitcher for fast pitch soft ball. They had such fun and Emily had the same scores. They had so much fun. We always love it when Jacob come to play!

Peas in a pod

After a full night of playing and a night of slumbering they were up and ready for fun.
They decided to look throgh the Thomas coloring and activity book. Taking turns pointing out things and laughing and talking. They are so cute together. It does seem to matter how long it has been since they have seen each other they are just best buddies when they see each other. How blessed they are to have a such a dear friend who will be with them forever. They like to play and they can't wait til they can see each other. I hope they will alway love each other like this.

How could I not take pictures of these too cute toesies! Seconds before the pic snapped they had there toes the exact same way.

Our Family Portrait

Well here we are, the Rose family portait, it is long overdue. We have not had family pictre taken for years (Sammy was six months old I believe). So after much hinting by Grandmas we decided it was time. The appointment was made and the outfits chosen, we were ready to go. There was a tiny fear in my heart. You see, I was always affraid that this beautiful picture might not always look this way. That one day Emily might not be in our home. Fortunatly we were so deeply blessed to recieve a letter from Emily biological father, Robert, that he is letting us adopt Emily. This is an answer to so many heartfelt prayers by us and some many who love us. So this family portrait is so special, the first of many in the years to come. This has shown me that prayers are truly answered just not always the way you might expect.

HE IS BEOWULF!

Okay, so he isn't Beowlf, he is a four year old with a plastice pirate sword and his daddy's Spangen Helm on. Still he look pretty happy to be wearing it doesn't he! He always wants to fight the big guys with a sword. Wheter at a War or at practice he wants to watch or be part of the fighting. Most of the time he grabs one of their swords but this time he brought one of his own.
Bravely battling his father! Just like Luke and Darth, except Sammy already knows Lee is his daddy and no ones loses a hand. Plus Darth didn't fight from his knees. So, really nothing like that.
Here Sammy has gotten tired of holding up his daddy's helm and the battle is over... for now. I see many more battles with swords in our future, but the good kind. Teen years spent taking his frustrations out on a pell in the back yard and father-son armoring projects. Fighting for mommy in the lists and fighting with daddy and his warband. Not typical events for most but for us it is my kind of thing to look forward too. He will learn to build and be proud of his work, to know when to fight and when not to, to learn honor, chivarly and courage. But for now he is a four year old with a plastic pirate sword and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Super Star Academics!

Our little Miss Emily Rose Was recognised at a small assembly at her school for her outstanding performance in her school work. She got a neat certificate and a free buffet to John Incredible Pizza. We are very proud of our smart little girl! Grandma Lynn and Sammy were there to cheer her on and Sammy even sat with her and the rest of her class so he could be near her. Everyday he is convinced she is gonna get on the school bus and we are gonna lose her. He calls to her as they walk to the gate where we pick her up. He loves his big sister alot.

( a side not a thank you to Grandma Jila for giving me her Camera case it has been so nice to have a Camera with us all the time)

Need for speed

When a boy is a boy, like my son is a boy he has a need for speed. He got a Spiderman scooter for his birthday and he loves it. He loves his helmet too, he loves it so much he likes to wear it even when he is not riding his scooter he wears it around the house and to the store, and to pre-school. Because life is dangerous, wear a helmet. These are his first trips up and down the front walk on his spiffy scooter. Why do I have no troble believe this will not be the last set of protective helmet and pads I will be buying him. He loves to be active and he is most of the time. He is such a boy, he is my little big man.

Tink the House Elf

Well Lola has moved on to another home (okay, okay, I took her her back to the pound after she used my down and brocade comforters as a litter box one too many times. I am only human after all people.) So while we were on vacation we got a call from Lauren that there was this little Chihuahua that needed a new home. Lee and I had talked about getting a dog, either Chihuahua or poodle and she was a great price. FREE! So we agreed to take her when we got home. We met her and we loved her at once. She took a little while to get used to us but she one of the family now. She has two beds... well three, two dog beds and one people bed. She sleeps at night between Lee and I. Her ears never stand up, and many of our Harry Potter fan friends commented she looks like a house elf. So she is or little house elf, loads of fun and a furry door bell. Anyone come to the house and they are gonna have to get an earful of her. She loves to ride in the car and hates to be far from her people. The photo doesn't do her justice but she is our not quite five pound bundle of fur and spunk.

Emily's Pink boots

No self respecting trip to the country should be attempted without proper foot wear. How lucky Emily was that her Aunt Kiahna was kind enough to get her the pinkest most lovely pair of cowgirl boots. She loves them and looked so cute in them. They were just the thing to wear while hunting dinosaurs at the Vernal Feild House Museum and got to be broken in as she rode a horse for the first time. They are stable enough for the terribly difficult "balance a bottle of water on your head with your legs crossed trick". They are fashionable and functional, what more could any one ask of a pair of foot wear! Thanks again Aunt Kiahna!

Sticker BOY!

I re-arranged the craft and art supplies last night. But based on this photographic evidence I may need to change the location of the stickers. Sammy got a hold of some and decide to decorate himself and then to spread the cheer and joy of stickers to the house. So the walls of my hallway are lovely with stickers. He is such a cute and funny boy. I have really loved these mornings home with him. Getting to treasre this time, savoring these moments before he goes to school full time and my little boy is gone for good. So as I am sure there will be other installments of the adventures of Sticker Boy. He sure loves his stickers. In fact even as I write this he is reloading his legs to waddle around the house putting stickers up on the walls. So long as they come down before daddy gets home all should be fine. I love my special boy.

SUPER HEROeS!!!!

The last time Jacob and Trevor were here this kids decided they were super heroes and of course no super hero is complete with out a cape, so I made capes. They are posing so cute! When they weren't running around saving each other. They always have such a good time when they come over and we love having them. While I am glad Kiahna's house sold, I will miss her trips here when she gets settled in her nice big home. Although from the pictures there is room for us to visit.
