How Cute are these kids

How cute are these KIDS! before we left for the graduation Lyn took these lovely pictures of Sam all dressed up and emily all dressed up too. ( Sam was not about to be the only one not looking spiffy!) He was amazing well behaved through the whole thing, aided by snacks, a new car from his Aunt Monster ( who has been scouring EBAY for all the cars he is missing from his collection) It was great fun to see them run around and they they love each other. All through the graduuation Sammy kept asking for his Emily and after the gradation they walked hand in hand to the car. They are so sweet together, I hope they love each other like this always or atleast most of the time.

Emily's Preschool Graduation

Last night we got watch our little girl graduate form her preschool class! We are so proud of her and how smart she is. She looked so cute and was so excited. We were joined by Lauren, John, Wayne, Lyn and Donal. After the graduation( which took WAY too long IMHO) we went for dessert at the Sugar Mill to celebrate. It was hard not to see a day, that I am sure will come all to soon, that she will wear another cap and gown and start another whole new adventure. For now, though, she is just a little girl who was so thrilled to get fairy dress up clothes and all the fun accesories to go with them as her graduation gift.( care of lee and I and john and Lauren) Something tells me I won't get off so cheaply when she graduates from Highschool. We are looking forward to going to see Mom and Dad this weekend and seeing Nana as well.

Clean clean clean...

I have been on a real big cleaning kick, part of my post surgery life change. I never realized how dirty my house has gotten in big and little ways and all the places the grime can hide. The floor under my oven was awful. I know I am not gonna have the house cleaned all in one day, week or month for that matter. Mostly because it will just get dirty again anyway but I can make a dent everyday a little at a time to make my house look better and myself feel better. I keep coming up with projects I want to do, organize my library of books, and find a better storage for all my scrapbook stuff, organize all my shoes. So many projects so little time.

3 things I'm afraid of: anything bad happening to my children or husband, pandemics, and zombies

3 Things that Make Me Laugh: my kids! stand up comedy( I am an addict, i love to watch it), pretty much anything, I love laughter.

3 Things I Love: My family, the gospel, and SCA

3 Things I Hate: Rude people, people who hurt children or animals, and lying politicians.

3 Things I Don’t Understand: How technology really works?! I am just glad it does. Why my kids seem to need to go pee three seconds after they go to bed. Why any one believes a word the comes out of George Bush's mouth.

3 Things On My Desk (besides computer junk): The remote control, bills, my Wii manual.

3 Things I’m Doing Right Now: Blogging, watching Good Eats (Alton Brown is my hero) and waiting for Lee to get home from out town.

3 Things I Want To Do Before I Die: See Ireland ( next year here I come WOOO!) , see my children married in the temple and kiss and love my grandchildren.

3 Things I Can Do: Make my grandma's famous fudge. give a darn good massage and spin wool into yarn.

3 Things I Can’t Do: Wink with both eyes. Manage my computer system with out my hubby, eat spicy food.

3 Things I Think You Should Listen To: The promptings of the Holy Ghost, the prophet, and your mother (she is usually right about things!) ( too good not to use again.)

3 Things You Should Never Listen To: The babbling of bigots. any one who tells you tells you life is awful, and the devil.

3 Things I’d Like To Learn: How to snowboard( it would make my husband so happy.) Any and all kinds of ball room dancing. how to scrapbook better.

3 Favorite Foods: CHOCOLATE, my grandma's fudge and filet mignon.

3 Shows I Watched As A Kid: Thunder Cats, facts of life and silver spoons.
3 Things I Regret: Not getting more classes under my belt in college. Taking better care of myself, waiting to so long to read the book of Mormon cover to cover.

My Mother's Day

IT is that time of year again where mothers are honored and loved. I was left in peace to sleep til I wanted to wake... mostly. Lee was kind enough to get me a massage, a magic bullet blender and last and surely not least a Wii! We have been having so much fun with it. The kids love it and so do Lee and I. Emily is quite the little bowler. Church was lovely, we had a nice time and kids were well behaved for kids there age. They had fun having a snack little exchange program with the Moore kids behind us. We got visits from Dave Faragelli, Wayne, and Jamie. Jamie brought me gorgeous Gerbra daisy plant and Wayne got me a sweet card. Lee made dinner and I was able to help and then eat dinner with Lyn and Donnie who also came over. We spent the night showing all the cool games on my Wii. It was a fine day. I called my mom and i know she will like her gift, but am not gonna say what it is cause she might read this. Happy Mothers day!

No plans this weekend.....really

For the last few weekends we have been running. Dear friend Laurens wedding, then Treasure Chest War and then my surgery last weekend. To say that I looking forward to just staying home and getting caught up on laundry and all other housey type things is an understatement. Just to not have to be somewhere is a relief. I like all our activities but they seem to come to long waves.
I got a fun phone call yesterday about Jacob REALLY wanting come and visit Sammy. It makes me so happy that they are such good friends as well as cousins. I know that life may not always make it easy for them to be as close as they are now but I know that Kiahna and I are gonna make the effort so the boys have every opportunity to stay as close as they can be. I am looking forward to AUgst and Greens lake and all its family fun. It will be fun to see our herd of children running laying and getting filthy. Glad to be home and dreaming of vacations.

My family Blog

I have a favorite sister in law that started a family blog and now I feel I must do the same. So as I find her advice wise in most things. Here we go. My family is myself my loving and sweet husband Lee and or two beautiful children Samuel who is 3 1/2 and Emily who 5. We live in Bakersfield CA. We have a nice little house( sometimes it feels too little) We have two furry family members Murray a yellow lab mixed with who knows what. He is head of back yard security and
child wrangling. There is also Hodie, a black labradoodle who is learning the ropes from Murray.
Lee works from FLying J doing electrical maintenance. I am a stay home mom who tries to keep up with my kids and life in general. So for now that is us.

Welcome to the Rose Garden

Come see how we live and grow together..
